Golden Boronia is a flower absolute only produced in Tasmania, off the southeast coast of Australia. Airy, ethereal, and intensely floral, the fragrance reminds many of freesia or champaca flowers. It also has fruity, tea-like and green notes. Used in the finest perfumes, this rare and enticing absolute is only produced once a year.

Madagascar Vanilla Absolute is a luscious, rich vintage vanilla absolute, circa 2005. From a pioneer French company, this was made in the VOP (Very Old Process), unique to Madagascar. Instead of petroleum solvents like hexame, the solvent is organic sugarcane alcohol also processed on Madagascar. It is slightly more fluid than the more common pasty or viscuous vanilla absolutes, but has all of the fragrance and properties to make beautiful perfume. I have provided this to my students in a 10% dilution for their studies since 2007
