Agreed, your generosity of knowledge and gifts is wonderful! I have a lighthearted question though its probably difficult for any perfumer, gardener or plant lover to answer: if you had to pick one flower or plant to represent yourself, which one would it be?
What a great question to ask. I know that lavender seems to be surrounding me in all forms all the time. Of course lavender essential oils from many different countries. Lavender absolute became my favorite material a few years back and I just moved into a house in Kelowna, BC with lavender surrounding me all around. I’m currently drying some to make little sachets. So I guess I’d have to say…Rose 😉 Just kidding, you get my drift. I’d be a lavender woman for sure. Although Rose is huge too. It reminds me of my grandma every time I read the word and smell the essence so there’s some of the Rose woman in me too.

Aba, I only donated a bit, the other goodies were from Guild members. I think we’re the only organization that ‘gives back’ like this, so I collect books over the year, and well, I’m proud of my vintage ambergris!

My house and gardens are called Casa Jasmin, so that’s a hint! I’m so entranced/possessive of it I’ve not yet released a jasmine soliflore or Casa Jasmin scent. I’ve used jasmine in almost all my perfumes – love, love, love it!

Casa Jasmin- i love that!! It is certainly a stellar flower and amazing scent. While i have not yet smelled narcissus absolute i’m definitely a paperwhite girl. Hopefully not that self centered 🙂 I force the bulbs indoors every December around my birthday and i love their little star shaped flowers.
